Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Delni (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you use the Delni mobile app and the related services we operate for it.

If you do not agree with this Policy, please stop using the App.

This Policy is written for Delni only. It does not cover other websites, radio stations, or apps that we do not operate.

1. Who we are
Delni is a directory app for finding workers, publishing worker and business listings, and posting hiring jobs.

For privacy questions, access requests, correction, or deletion, email support@delni.org. We may need to verify that the request comes from you.

2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use Delni, we may process:

Account data: name, email, phone number, password (stored hashed), role (customer / worker / business), language preference, and account status.

Profile data: display name, bio, city, professions, service areas, availability, pricing you choose to show, photos (avatar, work photos, business logo/cover), and optional videos you upload for a business profile.

Verification and review data: short-lived phone or email one-time codes; optional identity, certificate, or other documents you upload so we can decide whether to accept a listing. These files are for review and security. They are not shown on the public directories.

Listings and jobs: the text, photos, and details of worker profiles, business listings, and hiring jobs you submit, including whether we accepted, refused, or removed them.

Applications and messages: job applications (including a CV or cover letter you attach), reviews you write, reports or blocks you submit, and Help & support messages.

Usage and device data: app logs needed to keep the service secure (which may include IP address, device type, and similar technical data), and a push-notification token if you allow notifications.

Payment-related data: payment status, amounts, listing type, and references from the payment provider when you pay to publish. Full card numbers and similar payment secrets are processed by the licensed provider (currently PayPlus). Delni does not store full card numbers.

Location: only if you use a map feature and grant permission. We use it so you can set a city, business, or job pin. We do not collect movement or location while the App is closed.

Sign-in with Google or Facebook (only if you choose that option and it is enabled): we receive the email and basic profile details that the provider shares with us under the permissions you grant there. We use that to create or log in to your Delni account. We do not run a separate social-network advertising profile.

We do not operate third-party advertising networks, content-recommendation widgets, or web-tracking pixels of the kind used on news websites.

3. Why we use data
We use personal data to:
• create and secure your account (including one-time codes sent by SMS or email);
• review listings before they become public, refuse unsuitable profiles, and remove listings when needed;
• show accepted worker profiles, business listings, and hiring jobs;
• process listing fees, holds, captures, and returns of payment;
• send service notifications you have allowed (for example: our review answer, a job application, a support reply);
• prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
• improve reliability and comply with legal obligations, including the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741–1981.

We rely on the need to provide the service you requested, your consent where required (for example location or notifications), and our legitimate interests in operating a safe directory.

4. Review, refusal, and going public
A listing you send to share is not public until we accept it. Until then, other users do not see it in the public lists.

We may refuse or later remove a profile or job that is unsuitable. If you paid and we refuse, we return the payment as described in the Terms of Service (hold release or refund through the payment provider). We aim to send that answer within 24 hours.

5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.

We may share data with:
• other users, only as needed for a feature you use — and only after a listing is accepted, for public profile or job fields;
• infrastructure providers (hosting, database, file storage, SMS delivery) under contracts;
• the payment provider when you pay to publish;
• Google or Facebook if you sign in with them;
• Google Maps when you use map features;
• authorities when required by law, a court order, or to prevent a crime.

Phone numbers stay private by default for workers unless you enable visibility to customers. Identity documents are never shown on the public Workers directory.

If you publish a public listing after we accept it, the public fields of that listing (name, photo, professions, areas, job text, and similar) can be seen by anyone using the App, including visitors without an account.

6. Cookies and similar technologies
The Delni mobile app uses a secure login token on your device, not advertising cookies.

Our admin site (used only by our team) may use a session cookie so staff stay signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, web beacons, or recommendation networks on Delni.

You can delete app data or cookies in your device or browser settings. Doing so may sign you out.

7. Retention
We keep account and profile data while your account is active. One-time codes expire quickly. Documents, logs, and payment records are kept as long as needed for security, disputes, accounting, and legal requirements, then deleted or anonymized where practical.

If you delete your account in the App, we remove or anonymize personal data we no longer need. We may retain limited records where the law requires it or to complete a payment dispute or prevent fraud.

8. Security
We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure. Protect your device and login details. Use of the internet always carries some risk.

9. Your rights
Under Israeli privacy law, you may request to review personal data we hold about you that is identified with you, and to request correction of data that is wrong, incomplete, or out of date.

You may also:
• update profile fields in the App;
• change phone visibility;
• unlist a listing where the App allows;
• turn off location or notifications in device settings;
• withdraw consent to location or notifications by changing those settings;
• delete your account in the App, or ask us through Help & support.

We will review requests and reply according to the timeframes set by law. We may refuse a request where the law allows (for example if the data is needed to protect legal rights, meet a regulatory duty, or prevent fraud). If we refuse, you may have a right to apply to the competent court as provided by law.

10. Children
Delni is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child created an account, contact us through Help & support so we can delete it.

11. International processing
Servers or subprocessors (for example hosting or SMS) may be located outside Israel. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards with those providers.

12. Changes
We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use means you accept the updated Policy. Please re-read this page from time to time. If we make a material change, we will show a notice in the App where practical.

13. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, email support@delni.org.

This Policy describes the Delni product as it works today. It is not a substitute for advice from an Israeli privacy lawyer about your company registration.
